Our Materials

At Kingfun, we believe that exceptional furniture starts with exceptional materials. Every fiber, foam, frame, and finish that goes into our products is chosen with intention — not just for how it looks or feels today, but for how it will perform over years of daily use. We are as committed to what goes inside our furniture as we are to what you see on the surface.

**Our Sourcing Philosophy**
We approach material selection as a responsibility. The choices we make affect not only the comfort and durability of your furniture, but also the health of your home environment and the broader planet. That is why we partner exclusively with suppliers who meet rigorous standards for quality, safety, and environmental stewardship. Before any material enters our supply chain, it is evaluated for performance, traceability, chemical safety, and long-term impact. We do not compromise on this process — because we believe you should never have to wonder whether your furniture is safe for your family.

**Foam and Cushioning**
The comfort of a sofa, mattress, or pillow begins at its core. Kingfun uses high-density, high-resilience polyurethane foams that deliver the perfect balance of support and softness. Our memory foam products are CertiPUR-US certified, meaning they are made without ozone-depleting chemicals, heavy metals, formaldehyde, or prohibited phthalates. They also undergo rigorous testing for indoor air quality and low VOC emissions. We offer multiple foam formulations — from plush, body-hugging memory foam to responsive, cooling gel-infused options — so you can choose the feel that matches your sleep style.

**Fabrics and Upholstery**
The fabrics we select are tested for abrasion resistance, colorfastness, and ease of cleaning. Our chenille and performance weaves are tightly spun to resist pilling and snagging, making them ideal for households with pets and children. Many of our upholstery options are stain-resistant and can be spot-cleaned with mild soap and water. We are increasingly expanding our fabric portfolio to include OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified textiles, which are tested to be free from harmful levels of more than 300 substances known to be dangerous to human health.

**Wood and Frames**
A sofa is only as strong as the frame inside it. Kingfun frames are constructed from kiln-dried hardwood and engineered wood composites selected for structural integrity. Kiln drying removes moisture that can cause warping, cracking, or shrinking over time. Joints are reinforced with corner blocks, heavy-duty staples, and industrial-grade adhesives. We source wood from suppliers who practice responsible forestry, and we are working toward full FSC certification across our entire wood supply chain.

**Sustainable and Recycled Materials**
Sustainability is woven into our material strategy. We actively seek recycled and renewable inputs: some of our outdoor furniture collections incorporate recycled plastics diverted from oceans and landfills, our packaging increasingly uses recycled and recyclable cardboard, and we are exploring bio-based foam alternatives as the technology matures. We believe that furniture should not cost the planet, and every step we take toward circular material flows is a step toward a more responsible future.

**Testing and Certification**
Every material used in Kingfun products undergoes a battery of independent tests. We test for durability under repeated loading, for fabric resistance to UV fading, for foam compression recovery after thousands of cycles, and for chemical emissions that could affect indoor air quality. These tests ensure that the furniture you bring into your home meets the highest standards for health, safety, and longevity.

**Our Ongoing Commitment**
Material innovation never stops, and neither do we. Our team continuously evaluates new fibers, greener foams, and smarter coatings that can make our products even better — for you and for the environment. If you ever have questions about the materials in a specific product, we welcome you to reach out to our customer support team.
